WALLA WALLA, Wash. - A Walla Walla man will spend 92 months in federal prison for his role in counterfeit $20 bills passed at area convenience stores.
The Walla Walla Police Department says Christopher Brotherton, 33, began passing the bills in November 2011. The investigation led to a home being searched on West Chestnut where officers found Brotherton, a convicted felon, also in possession of firearms.
Walla Walla law enforcement have arrested Brotheron at least 11 times. He will serve four years on parole after his release from prison.
