PASCO, Wash.-- A new festival will fill the streets in Downtown Pasco this weekend.
Viva Pasco is a Latino influenced festival that will feature all types of fun. There will be live music and dancing. It's also a family friendly event with an entire kids section and a car show for the whole family. And it's all free. Twelve food vendors will also be there as well as a margarita garden.
Amy Kuchler, Downtown Pasco Development Authority Executive Director, says this event is highly anticipated because Pasco is overdue for a celebration.
"It's really the first community celebration we've had in downtown Pasco in quite a while. Cinco De Mayo was canceled this year. Fiery Foods hasn't happened in several years. So, this is the first big community festival we've done," says Kuchler.
West Lewis Street will be blocked off from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue and 4th Avenue will be blocked off from West Clark Street to West Columbia Street.
The festival is Saturday afternoon from 3pm until 9:30pm.
