RICHLAND, Wash.-- A candle light vigil will be held Friday night for Ben Ensign in Richland. Ensign is still in a coma after he was forcefully kicked out of Jack Didley's bar in downtown Kennewick on July 4th.
His family says his brain stopped swelling this week, but his recovery still remains uncertain.
Ben's brother, Brandon Ensign, says the event will give the community a chance to share their thoughts about Ben whether they know him or not.
"That sense of community and seeing the businesses come forward and the people that may have similar stories or tragedies in their life and getting the chance for them to come forward and talk, share their tragedies or similar stories with us. Just really bond as a community. I think it's really important," says Ensign.
The vigil will be held at Howard Amon Park in Richland in the amphitheater at 9pm Friday night.
