SEATTLE, Wash.-- Two men in Seattle today
plan to sue the boy scouts, claiming scout leaders sexually abused them.
These are two of the latest lawsuits to
come out after the release of what are called the "perversion files".
They're records the boy scouts
organization kept of suspected child molesters in their ranks.
They were a major tool in kicking
pedophiles out of the organization, and preventing them from getting back in.
The two men filing the lawsuits claim
they were abused at the Fire Mountain Boy Scout Camp in Mount Vernon.
"It's important now in their lives,
to take a stand, speak out, and let the scouts know this happened and its not
okay," says Seattle Attorney Mike Pfaul.
One lawsuit relates to an assistant scout
master, who was kicked out of the scouts in 1988 after he was convicted of sex
crimes against children.
The other suit involves the same camp's
health officer, who the lawsuit alleges sexually abused one of the men in the
