KENNEWICK, Wash., --Witness testimony continued Tuesday in the trial of a nanny accused of aggravated manslaughter.
Jury members heard from a pediatrician from Kadlec Regional Medical Center, a former Richland police officer and neighbors of the mother of 1-year-old Ryder Morrison, Tawney Johnson.
One of the neighbors, Danielle Crawford, called Johnson the afternoon Ryder went to the hospital, to share what happened to her son.
"I called her and I said 'this is Danielle, your neighbor' and I said 'Ryder's been hurt' and she immediately started crying; I mean like, CRYING," says Crawford.
Crawford also testified Ryder was struggling to breathe when she held him in her arms the afternoon of June 22nd, 2011.
Kelli Jacobsen is accused of causing injuries to Ryder Morrison that eventually led to his death, only one day after his first birthday.
The trial is expected to last at least two more weeks.
