KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The clock is ticking for those of you who have yet to file your tax returns.
The deadline is Monday. And the better late than never crowd is keeping tax workers busy this weekend.
Many tax service businesses are seeing an influx of last minute people looking for help filing their taxes.
At Liberty Tax Service in Kennewick, they help around 1,500 people file their tax returns every year.
In the last week alone, they've helped 200 customers.
They're working long hours and through the weekend to accommodate all the late filers coming through the door.
"From here on out we'll close when the last person walks out the door, which could be 9 o'clock at night, 10pm, 11pm, even midnight. I'm really expecting to see people up until midnight on Monday night," said Nancy Conter, Liberty Tax Service.
Liberty Tax Service is also assisting people file extensions, but most people just push to get their return in before midnight on Monday.
And a fun fact, the U.S. income tax turns 100-years-old this year.
