RICHLAND, Wash.- Kadlec Regional Medical Center next month begins a course that could change your life.
The Coronary Health Improvement Project, a seven-week program, starts at the Kadlec Cardiopulmonary Rehab Center, where fitness and nutrition experts will weigh you, test your blood pressure and sugar levels, and then you and your classmates will learn how to lose weight, lower cholesterol, and reduce risk of heart disease and cancer.
Fitness Specialist Lindsay Asmus says most importantly, by the end of the program you will have changed your lifestyle.
"Hopefully, their cholesterol has been reduced, they've lost some weight, blood sugar reduced, feeling better about themselves. Maybe they've started a walking program. They're on the road to a healthier lifestyle."
The course includes speakers, cooking demonstrations, heart-healthy recipes, and exercise programs.
The course costs $325 per person, $450 per couple.
Two informational meetings will be held September 12 and 18. For more details call 627-6258.
