PASCO, Wash. -After
blessing the land, turning the ceremonial first shovels of dirt, and a few snapshots to
mark the occasion, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Tuesday began work on
its new home in Pasco.
The 16,000 square foot building will cost
about $1,500,000, but fundraising
chairman Pat Roach says they're already halfway to reaching their goal.
"People in the community are

food. They step up," Roach says.
The organization must move
out of its current location on West Lewis to make way for the city's new
overpass. The new building will be located at 215 S. 6th Street.
