PASCO, Wash.-- The 27th Annual River of Fire fireworks show will light up the sky over the Columbia River Thursday night.
Wednesday, workers prepared the barge with all the fireworks shells that serves as a launch pad for the show.
Kennewick Mayor Steve Young, Hapo sponsor representatives and pyrotechnicians spoke about the fireworks spectacular that attracts thousands from across the region.
"The grand finale, which has like 70 shots in it, is going to last a minute. So that gives you an idea of the veracity and the excitement of the finale. So it's going to be a lot of shots in little time," said John Falleen, pyrotechnic in charge.
The show includes over 500 fireworks and will last for 25 minutes.
It's the largest fireworks show in all of eastern Washington.
