RICHLAND, Wash. - A teacher and activities director at Richland High School is now a member of the Washington Activity Coordinators Association Hall of Fame.
The WACA inducted Jim Qualheim into the Hall of Fame at the group's annual conference in Yakima on March 21st. The association is recognizing Qualheim for his significant contributions to student activities in the state of Washington.
During his career, Qualheim has served on the WACA Board of Directors, been named Washington State High School Advisor of the Year, hosted two statewide conferences at RHS for the Washington Association of Student Councils, and served on the steering committee for two other WASC conferences.
Qualheim oversees Richland High School leadership students as they organize and coordinate several projects for the community including blood drives for the American Red Cross, food drives for the Tri-Cities Food Bank, charity fundraisers for the American Diabetes Association and the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, clothing drives for Goodwill, and book drives for various literacy programs.
