PASCO, Wash.-- It's prime pumpkin carving season and Saturday the 17th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest at the Pasco Farmers Market was a hit.
Local kids showed off their best pumpkin carved creations and patiently awaited their prizes. The categories included best carved, best painted, smallest and largest. Kids say all the work was worth it.
"It took really long, but it makes people smile," said Russell Geen, contest participant.
Everyone walked away with some candy, but the category winners won gift cards, cookies and apples.
