KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Things are about to get much simpler for those heading to the Benton County Justice Center for court.
The Trial Court Improvement Committee worked hard to install five new docket reading monitors that will work just like those in airport terminals. Olympia granted our justice center $45,000 to make the project happen.
People scheduled for either Superior or District Court will now know exactly which court room to go to and what time. The clerks say, they deal with confused people all day long.
" This should really help people where they need to go, what time their hearing is and save our clerks some time," said Jacki Lahtinen, the District Court Administrator.
The docket reading monitors are scheduled to go live on February 1st.
