Neighborhoods throughout the region, and even the country, will spend Tuesday evening meeting their neighbors and local law enforcement officers.
People joining in the fun will have the opportunity to learn safety techniques and interact with local police officers before an emergency happens. In Kennewick, officers will be handing out free child safety ID cards. There is also plenty of fun to be had with games, giveaways, a rock wall and free food!
In Kennewick, the free event is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Southridge Sports Complex. Richland residents can stop by Howard Amon Park, and Walla Walla residents will be gathering at Pioneer Park.
The City of Pasco will be hosting 15 events. For more information on locations, contact the Pasco Police Department at 509-545-3414.
There will also be a handful of activities in the Yakima Valley. Residents can contact their local police department to find out more on locations and times.
