NBC RIGHT NOW- It was loud, intense and it even started a few fires. A storm system rolled through the region around 10:30 Saturday morning.
And the lightning was actually striking the tops of the ridges on Badger Mountain. Four different fires were sparked and put out by firefighters. The biggest fire was most noticeable on the mountainside, which burned about 30 acres of brush according to fire crews.
The rain did help put out the flames, but Benton County Fire District 1 and supporting crews worked for almost three hours putting out the fire lines.
