KENNEWICK, WA. -- The Kennewick General Hospital Foundation is holding its annual fundraising event, Gala D'Vine.
The gala will be on Saturday, October 13th at the Three Rivers Convention Center to raise money for new heart equipment.
The community event will feature a social hour, dinner, auction, tribute presentation, and dancing. The foundation says the gala draws more than 550 guests each year and usually raises about $185,000. This year, organizers plan to direct the proceeds towards purchasing new electrophysiology equipment for Kennewick General Hospital's catheterization laboratory.
The evening's theme will be the "Black and White Ball," and the highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Tribute of Excellence to Dr. John and Priscilla Cadwell, a local couple working to advance healthcare programs and services across eastern Washington. The live auction will feature a range of desirable packages and items, including a Mediterranean cruise for two, an Arizona vacation getaway, a private yacht tour of Lake Washington, a privately hosted trip to China, and several hosted dinners, winery tours, sporting events, and services. After dinner, the Tribute presentation, and auction, a live band will provide entertainment.
The 2012 Gala D'Vine is co-chaired by Mike and Pam McWhorter, who previously received the Tribute of Excellence honor.
A table for ten guests starts at $1,500 with individual tickets for $100, available online at www.kghf.org or by calling 586-5776.
The Gala D'Vine has sold out for the past five years, so organizers advise getting your tickets early.
