RICHLAND, Wash.-- Kadlec Medical Center broke ground Monday on another new medical office building.
The site will be home to Kadlec's Neuroscience Center and various specialty physicians, ranging from vascular surgery to infectious diseases. The structure will be sixty thousand square feet and three stories high. It will cost nineteen million dollars.
The patient demand for specialty physicians has grown locally and Kadlec spokesman, Jim Hall, says they hope this facility will meet that need.
"There's a lot of patients in our region that need the care provided by these physician practices and to be able to put them all in one roof, in one convenient location, that's right adjacent to the hospital, it's a great win for the physicians that will be practicing there and the ultimate winner is the patient," says Hall.
The project should take about a year to complete. They hope to open the building in the summer of 2013.
