PASCO, Wash. - Firefighters are investigating what caused an early morning fire at an apartment complex in Pasco. The fire started around 1:00 am on the 2200 block of West Henry Street.
Residents say they had been barbecuing the night before and left the grill up against the house, after letting it cool down.
"It was like in a couple of minutes, seconds, we lost it all. We don't have nothing--only the clothes we have now--we have nothing," said Cindy Flores, a resident of the complex.
Witnesses say the fire reignited around 5:30 am and crews had to return to fight the flames again.
The American Red Cross is assisting the five families displaced by the fire. One firefighter was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.
