KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Washington Waterfowl Association will hold their annual duck and goose calling championships tomorrow in Kennewick.
Winners will have the opportunity to represent the state at the world competitions in Arkansas. Competitors range from seasoned pros to young children. The routines may only last 90 seconds but former champ Abel Contina says they still take a lot of work.
"A lot of dedication a lot of practice time. The old saying "practice makes perfect," well it really holds true when it comes to duck calling, competitively. Because the more you practice the better you get," said Contina.
The first competition starts at 7:30 am at Columbia Park and the final rounds end around at 6:30 PM. Admission is free.
