KENNEWICK, Wash. - Hundreds of "America's greatest sports cars" will be at Columbia Park this weekend to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
McCurley Chevrolet and Three Rivers Corvette Club are hosting the 4th Annual Corvettes on the Columbia Car Show on Saturday. Nearly 200 corvettes will be on display from across the United States and Canada. The models range from as far back as 1953 to present day.
"It's about getting people coming together and impacting people's lives and we're able to do that with the corvettes and the Make-A-Wish Foundation," said Matthew Price, the event organizer.
Last year's car show brought in more than $25,000 and granted the wish of five children battling life-threatening illnesses. Organizers hope to grant at least seven wishes this year.
The Corvettes on the Columbia is Saturday, June 8th at Columbia Park in Kennewick. It starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. There will also be a live concert following the show at Clover Island in Kennewick, featuring Comedian David Cook and Grove City Band.
