BENTON CITY, Wash. -The small town next door invites you to join the community for a holiday party.
Benton City on Saturday holds its ninth annual Winterfest.
Santa will arrive on a Benton County fire truck for breakfast at the community center. Along with raffles, bingo, a gingerbread house and cookie decorating contests, a musical at the high school, there will be a holiday arts and craft show with more than 60 vendors.
"This is how people can not only get some real quality things for themselves and gifts, but also support the financial health of our communities," says Heather Duncan, president of the chamber of commerce.
The lighted parade starts at 5 p.m. Saturday followed by Christmas lights, caroling, and hot cocoa in the city park.
