PETA slams Beyonce's Super Bowl costume

By Robyn Ross,

Beyoncé might have wowed fans with her Super Bowl halftime performance, but it's what she was wearing that has raised the hackles of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

"We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés ... she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully," PETA said in a statement. "Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score."

Did Beyonce's halftime performance blow you away? Did Destiny's Child reunite?

According to Vogue, Beyoncé's scantily clad suit, designed by Rubin Singer, was constructed of strips of engineered python, paneled iguana and trapunto/pick stitched leather.

Do you think Beyoncé should've chosen faux skins?
